When we set out to develop Orderwave 2.0, we knew just how important continuity was going to be. We wanted to develop a system that was both powerful and easy to use; both quick to configure, and granular enough to let our clients craft detailed continuity programs.

What we came up with was a 2-tiered approach: a continuity management system that worked for simple auto-shipments of the same product at predefined intervals, such as a shipment of vitamins every 30 days; and a mapped-out, continuity program designer that allows our clients to ship different SKUs, at different intervals, with complete control over the flow of the program.

We called these different types of progams Auto-ship Plans and Continuity Profiles.

Auto-ship plans are the easiest way to implement continuity in Orderwave. Simply locate an item on a customer's order and trigger it for auto-shipment. That's it. You set the number of days between shipments and the price and Orderwave takes care of the rest.

Continuity profiles allow you to configure advanced business rules in your continuity plan. With continuity profiles you can structure the flow, SKUs, payment plans, shipping calculations, even repetition of steps in your plan to match the most creative of offerings.

Orderwave pre-generates continuity orders and schedules them to be charged (and released) on their due date. This means that you have the freedom to manipulate scheduled orders in order to "save the sale". You can reduce shipping costs, add value-added items, postpone shipments, and more.
